Entercom's WITC was the long-time home for UCONN sports (since 1991) until the two sides parted ways on Friday when the News-Talker in Hartford announced it would not be renewing its contract to broadcast UCONN Sports once the agreement expires at the end of this basketball season. Earlier this week Bryan Hollenbaugh and his wife purchased Classic Hits WMJZ-FM in Gaylord, Michigan for $750,000. The previous owners took a $25,000 deposit from the husband and wife team because they know the Hollenbaugh's were serious local broadcasters and will take good care of their signal, and the community.
