The ratings firm is out with its Total Audience Report for the third quarter of 2018. The news for the audio world is very encouraging. As more ways to listen to audio become available, more people are spending time with audio. And, according to Nielsen, radio continues to be the dominant player. [read more]

44-year old Gantry “Wolfgang” Miller, co-host of “The Drive with Wolfgang and Steen” on 1700 The Champ in Des Moines was killed yesterday. Miller was stopped on the shoulder of I-80. After exiting his vehicle, he was hit by a passing semi-truck and declared dead at the scene. [read more]
 
WGBH Boston General Manager Phil Redo says he's retiring in July of 2020. Redo is the manager of WGBH Radio 89.7, 99.5 WCRB Classical Radio Boston, and WCAI, the Cape and Islands NPR Station. [read more]
