The Class of 2018 includes longtime DJ and current Star 102.5 (WTSS-FM) host Roger Christian, Buffalo native Tom Langmyer (pictured) who managed some of the most successful stations in the country, and 97 Rock PD John Hager. The Arizona Broadcasters Association has announced its 2018 inductees for the Arizona Broadcasters Hall of Fame. The radio inductees, chosen based on their outstanding contributions to broadcast journalism, are JD Freeman, and The John Jay and Rich show (pictured). [read more]

Rachel “Rach” Viggiano will host middays for Hits station Q102 Philly. Viggiano will be on air Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., and Saturdays from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. She joins the Philadelphia market from WPUR-FM in Atlantic City. [read more]
 
 
 
This past week was Rincon Broadcasting’s 8th annual Radiothon, and Radio Bronco 107.7 (KIST) and La Musical 94.5 (KSPE) surpassed last year’s total by more than 21%. The final total was a whopping $95,735. With donations still coming in, this year’s radiothon may yet break the $100,000 mark. [read more]
 
YEA Networks announced that Simple Booth, its next-generation platform for one-touch social sharing of live events through digital photo booth experiences, has hit the 400-radio-station mark with the recent addition of Saga Communications’ six-station radio group in Charleston, SC and additional units in multiple markets.
