NextRadio has signed an agreement with smartphone manufacturer LG Electronics MobileComm to enable FM chips in LG phones. LG will enable the FM chip in its smartphones providing millions of people access to local FM radio across the United States and Canada, as well as Latin American countries. [read more]
 
The NFL’s Miami Dolphins and Univision Deportes Radio have entered into a multi-year agreement for WQBA 1140 AM to become the official Spanish-language radio broadcast partner of the franchise. Univision's recently launched radio network now holds the Spanish-language radio broadcast rights to all Dolphins preseason, regular season, and playoff games. [read more]
 
Amy Bolton has been hired by CBS News Radio to manage affiliate sales. The company says following the recent agreement between CBS News Radio and Skyview Networks, CBS News Radio has hired the 30-year network executive to spearhead CBS News Radio’s drive to enlist the hundreds of current CBS News Radio affiliates for its new in-house affiliation network.
