Monday night in Nashville, Radio Ink Magazine honored the 2018 Best Country Program Directors in America at an Amazon.com sponsored event at The Country Radio Seminar. Cox Media Group PD Johnny Chiang was named the Best PD in America and Curtis Media's Trip Savery accepted on behalf of the late Lisa McKay (who was #4 this year). McKay passed away a few weeks ago after a short battle with cancer. 2018 was the 20th year Radio Ink has been honoring the Best Country Program Directors in America. Following opening ceremonies Monday night to kick off CRS 2018, Tuesday is packed full of important panels and presentations. At 9:30, Edison Research will reveal new data regarding Smart Speakers, as part of its annual CRS Country Radio study. [read more]

The insurance giant stayed atop the pile of radio’s leading advertisers again last week with 41,831 spots played across the country, according to Media Monitors. Indeed Inc. jumped one place to second, with 34,667 commercials played. [read more]
