Marc Rayfield has been in radio since 1990, more than half his life. His first job as a manager was as the Local Sales Manager for WIP in Philadelphia shortly after it launched as the second sports radio station in America (behind WFAN in New York). His last two positions with CBS Radio were running the New York and Philadelphia markets. A huge responsibility. [read more]
 
 
More bad news for Cumulus. On Tuesday, the company received notification from the NASDAQ indicating that, as a result of the company’s noncompliance with NASDAQ listing rules, the company has been delisted and will no longer trade on that exchange, effective immediately. [read more]
 
In a company-wide call, Tuesday, Entercom CEO David Field and COO Weezie Kramer pumped up the troops of the much larger company now that former CBS employees are on the Entercom team. Kramer asked Field questions that were submitted by employees. [read more]
 
You could say two winning teams have decided they want to stay together. Entercom, off the high of merging with CBS Radio, and the 9-and-1 Philadelphia Eagles have signed an extension that will keep Sportsradio WIP as the home station for the team through 2024. [read more]

The Alternative Rock format has been getting a lot of love lately. Last week, Entercom flipped to Alt Rock in New York City and Dallas, and Tuesday iHeartmedia flips to the format in Detroit. The previous format was Variety Hits. iHeart kicks off the new format with 10,000 songs in a row. [read more]

Cox Media Group Jacksonville has switched WEZI Easy 106.5 to 102.9 FM, and WXXJ X102.9 over to 106.5 FM. In addition to Easy 102.9’s move, it has flipped to Holiday Music. This change gives Easy 102.9 a larger signal. The station can now be heard from Brunswick, GA to southern St. John’s County, FL. The format on 106.5 is Alternative. [read more]
 
It's one of the stations iHeartMedia picked up in the swap with CBS/Entercom before that deal closed. The Classic Rocker will now be programmed by Chris Tyler. Tyler most recently served as PD for iHeartMedia Cleveland at WMMS and KISS-FM. [read more]
 
FOX News Channel has signed nationally syndicated radio talk show personality Mark Levin as host of Life, Liberty & Levin, a new weekend primetime program debuting in February 2018, announced Suzanne Scott, President of Programming. [read more]
 
 
 
McGinn has been named new afternoon drive personality (3-7 p.m.) on Beasley's MAGIC 98.3 in Somerset New Jersey. The radio veteran was most recently heard doing weekends on 92.3 AMP Radio in New York. [read more]
 
iHeartMedia Baltimore has hired Francesca Presti as the new co-host for the Laurie DeYoung Morning Show on Country station 93.1 WPOC, effective December 4. The show broadcasts weekdays from 5–10 a.m. Presti will join current hosts Laurie DeYoung and Jeff St. Pierre. [read more]
 
Sun Broadcast Group has announced that Shelby Wood Wasicki has joined the company as National Account Manager. In her role with Sun, Wood Wasicki will work with the Sales Department, focused on products including Shazam For Radio, The Hit List with Fitz, Country Fried Mix with DJ Sinister, and others. ESPN Radio’s new morning drive program, Golic and Wingo, hosted by Mike Golic and Trey Wingo, will debut Monday (6–10 a.m. ET) on ESPN Radio and will initially be simulcast on ESPN2, before moving to its simulcast home on ESPNU in the spring. [read more]
 
Gow Media is taking former NFL quarterback Sean Salisbury out of his local show on 97.5 FM in Houston to focus his energies exclusively on his national radio and TV show. The Sean Salisbury Show is heard weekdays on the SB Nation Radio Network from 4-8 p.m. ET. [read more]

iHeartMedia San Antonio recently partnered with local car dealership Toyota of Boerne and Walmart for the seventh annual Turkeys for Troops drive. iHeart employees and volunteers handed out turkeys to over 7,000 local military personnel and their families. [read more]
 
Alpha Media Louisville hosted a two-day radiothon in support of Norton Children’s Hospital, November 16 and 17. Louisville stations WXMA, WDJX, WGZB, WMJM, and WGHL, raised $131,586 and shared heartfelt stories of patients and families impacted by the hospital. [read more]
